Dr. Bauer did her undergraduate studies at St. Ambrose and Marycrest Colleges and then graduated Magnum Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. Dr. Bauer and her husband, David, have been married over 35 years and have four sons, three daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, and varying numbers and kinds of critters. Originally from western Iowa, they presently live north of Welton on an acreage. David is a maintenance supervisor for Cascade Lumber in Eldridge. Always active, the couple now enjoys the antics of grandchildren who live next door. Dr. Bonnie is an avid reader of murder mysteries, and also enjoys riding & training her horses, construction projects, playing with and training her dog Max, going to the grandkids shcool activities and traveling around the US.
Dr. Bauer is a specialist in instrument adjusting. Having earned her Advanced Proficiency Ratin g in the Activator Methods Technique in 1994 she continues through post-graduate studies to keep it up to date. Other areas of post-graduate studies include, Sports Injuries Assessment and Rehabilitation, Management of Extremity Injuries, Clinical Management of Lumbar Discs, Carpal Turnnel, Pain, and Geriatric Studies, along with Clinical Management of Whiplash Injuries. She studied acupucnture and received her certificate as Fellow of Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Society of America in 1999. Active in the Iowa Chiropractic Society she continues to attend post graudate serminars to stay current with new research and methods.
